Faye Brown

Medical Missions

Faye has been a missionary with Friends in Action International since 2000. She is a registered nurse by profession and holds a Master’s of Science degree in Nursing Education from Drexel University and comes with over 43 years of experience in critical care, trauma, community and home health care nursing. She is also Certified in Pediatric Emergency Nursing (CPEN).Her missionary career started in 1987 when she lived among the Badyaranké people of Senegal, W. Africa. She was involved in the linguistic analysis, culture study, development of a literacy program, and training village health workers. Those years provided a strategic foundation for her current ministry.For the past 18 years, she has taught the International Health and Wellness Program to missionaries of evangelical, overseas mission organizations.  She has traveled abroad to Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Latin America in order to train nationals, plant indigenous medical programs alongside of indigenous churches, and empower communities in self-help and self-care. Her vision is to be a part in caring for one of God’s most valuable resources, His people, in spreading the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
